I continue to paint women in hijabs as these women are present in my life at the Language Institute at Georgia Tech, where I teach them English along with other international students. Since the middle eastern culture is relatively new to me and I am becoming acquainted with it, I allow myself to let these women from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, and other Muslim countries represent all that I am curious about--THE GREAT MYSTERY. |
